This is a series created to encourage the racing of Classic Japanese Race cars that are 20 years old or older. We are targeting Japanese cars that are not heavily modified and meet certain MotorSport New Zealand rules.
It is our objective to have a minimum field of fifteen cars per meeting in an eight round series competing at Pukekohe Park Raceway, Hampton Downs and Taupo Raceway (to be confirmed).
The series will represent cars of original factory exteriors. Only period or factory spoilers can be used. It is important that these cars retain their original factory “look”. Replicas will be allowed.
Rules will be kept simple and straightforward. Should there be confusion regarding interpretation, the committee will advise the member and will have the final say.
All members must be a member of a MotorSport New Zealand affiliated club and all competing members must have a National racing license. Contact us if you want advice on these matters.
Annual subscription fees will be $75.00 per annum.
We plan to actively source a series sponsor – this may mean that we will have to offer any potential sponsor space on the top of the cars' windscreen to display their logo.
