All Classic Japanese Series - Motor Racing Club

Objective.

This is a series created to encourage the racing of Classic Japanese Race cars that are 20 (twenty) years old or older.

We are targeting Japanese cars that are not heavily modified and meet certain Motor Sport New Zealand rules.

Replicas will be allowed.

It is our objective to have a minimum field of 15 (fifteen) cars per meeting in a six to eight round series from September to May competing at Pukekohe Park Raceway, Hampton Downs and Taupo Raceway (to be confirmed). A full series will be announced at the AGM or later date when rounds have been confirmed.

The series will represent cars of original factory exteriors. Only period or factory spoilers can be used. It is important that these cars retain their original factory “look”.

Rules will be kept very simple and basic. Should there be confusion regarding interpretation, the President and committee will advise the member and have the final say. Any member may be turned away at the discretion of the President and committee.

Entry is by invitation only. The Club will be made up of a Club President and a maximum of three committee members.

Annual subscription fees will be $75.00 per annum payable from July 1st.

All members must be a member of a Motorsport N.Z. affiliated club.

All competing members must have a National racing license.

We will also take an active part in sourcing a series sponsor – this may mean that we will have to offer any potential sponsor the top of the cars windscreen to display their logo.
